Beta-lactam antibiotic. IV generation cephalosporins.
INDICATIONS FOR USE FOR ADULTS*:
- respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia
- uncomplicated infections of the skin and subcutaneous tissue
- complicated intra-abdominal infections
- uncomplicated and complicated urinary tract infections
- septicemia
- empirical therapy of patients with neutropenic fever
- prevention of postoperative complications in intra-abdominal surgery
INDICATIONS FOR USE FOR CHILDREN*:
- pneumonia
- urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis
- skin and subcutaneous tissue infections
- empirical therapy of patients with neutropenic fever
- bacterial meningitis
